Who is CSHP?

The Cleveland Society of Health System Pharmacists is an organization of pharmacists and associates who believe that pharmacy is a clinical profession whose main purpose is to serve the public by promoting rational drug therapy, providing appropriate drug use control and ensuring the safe and appropriate clinical outcomes from their use.

The mission of the Society is to support its members by advocating for the pharmacy profession and promoting safe and appropriate medication use.

Who is ASHP?

ASHP is the official affiliated state chapter of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). This national organization of pharmacists and associates provides significant support for health-system pharmacy practices through their publication, software, meetings, professional development, continuing education, legislative, and group benefit offerings. Membership Categories

Active Membership (R.Ph.) is available to a licensed pharmacist who supports the purposes of the society. In addition, CSHP offers these special categories of active membership for licensed pharmacists who qualify:

Joint Active Membership is available to a licensed pharmacist sharing the same home mailing address as another active CSHP member. (Only one copy of communications will be sent to each couple.)

Retired Active Membership is available to a retired licensed pharmacist who has reached the age of 65 and who has held previous Active Membership in the CSHP.

Newly Licensed Pharmacists within their first year of licensure by exam, including newly licensed pharmacy residents and fellows, your first year of Active membership is FREE.  See of CSHP is the right organization for you.

Resident/Fellow Active Membership is available to pharmacy residents and fellows who do not qualify as newly licensed.

Corporate Membership provides, at no additional cost, one or more individual CSHP memberships with all member benefits, varying levels of exhibit space at the CSHP Annual Meeting with corporate recognition, and other benefits and opportunities based on the level of commitment. Click here to apply.

Associate Memberships:

Pharmacy Technical Personnel Membership is available to pharmacy support personnel who assist in preparing and distributing medications.

Student Membership is available to individuals enrolled full time in an undergraduate pharmacy degree program.

Supporting Associate Membership is available to individuals other than licensed pharmacists who work in health services, teach, or otherwise contribute to pharmacy services.
